There was a bitter exchange of words between Kabale District Police Commander and Forum for Democratic Change party Presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat yesterday evening as his convoy was being blocked to step in Kabale town.
FDC Presidential Candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat ‘s convoy was blocked along the road at SatelliteHoliday Resort in Muhanga town council but he was allowed to continue journey amidst tight security commanded by Kabale district police commander Brain Ampere.
However, Roland Mugume Kaginda, the incumbent Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament who doubles as the western region FDC coordinator who was accompanying the presidential candidate wondered why the police was blocking them to access Kabale town.
Ampeire said that boda boba should not accompany their candidate because they cause confusion in the town while Kaginda opposed the matter saying it’s unlawful.
Police accompanied Amuriat’s Convoy to Kigezi Gardens where they were meant to stop for accommodation.
