You have seen people walk on foot from your area to Namungongo shrine on martyrs day but here is a 48 years woman who walked from sheema district to Nairobi Kenya bare footed.
Rosette Kinkuhaire Karyahore well known as Bakyaara from Ntungamo village, Rugarama Sub County in Sheema district escaped from his father’s home in 2007 due to madness.
Her relatives waited for her to come back in Vail up to when they lost hope knowing that she died.
Mzee Karyahore Yowasi a father to Rosette Bakyaara narrated to this reporter .
“Bakyaara is my biological daughter, her mother late Dorothy Bazaine was my in law but I used to visit her especially when her husband was in Buganda and we ended up giving birth to her.
She ran mad in 1986 when she was studying from Kababaizi primary school.
In 2007, she escaped from here when we were in our gardens and those who lasted to see her had reached in Entebbe,” Karyahore narrated.
He added that people who brought her back here said that when she reached in Nairobi Kenya, she started destroying people’s property plus beating people in town and that whenever they tried to ask her, she replied them in runyankore but they couldn’t understand anything up to when she talked of Kampala and people thought that she might be a Ugandan.
“Those Kenyans called their friend here in Uganda, they gave him transport to go there and the good chance was also a munyankore tribe. When he found that she was mad, they put her in a certain church to pray for her up to when she regained her normal senses and asked them to bring her back to Uganda.
They drove her from Kenya with the help of their friend up to here and she is now normal. ” Mzee Karyahore added.
Miss Rosette Bakyaara told www.mknewslink.com that on her journey to Kenya, she can’t remember what she ate on her way but the people of Kenya told her that her feet had developed wounds and was bloody.
She thanked God for healing her from madness saying that all her relatives whoever sees her, cries because they knew that she died
