FIRE GUTS DORMITORY AT ST. ALOSIUS GIRLS SS

Police in Rukiga are investigating circumstances that led to a fire outbreak at St. Alosius Girls Secondary School.
The fire broke out on the 6/7/2022, at about 2040hrs, while students were in for their normal preps, according to the head teacher, Florence Busingye.
Ms. Busingye narrated that while she was in her office, she heard students screaming that there was fire in the nearby dormitory.
According to Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional spokesperson police found when the locals had already joined the teachers to fight the fire and soon the fire team from the region arrived and put it off totally.
No death or injury was realized, all students were still intact as per the roll call which was done last evening and this morning.
Scene was preserved as inquiries to ascertain the likely cause of the fire outbreak are underway.
The case of fire outbreak was registered at Rukiga Central Police station under reference number CRB: 289/22.
