FIRE GUTS RUBINDI SCHOOL AS FIFTH SCHOOL FIRE OUTBREAK IS REGISTERED IN RWIZI REGION

Properties worth Millions have been lost in another fire fire break at St.Andrews Rubindi Secondary School in Rubindi Ruhumba Town council , Mbarara District.

This comes barely   three weeks  after a  fire gutted the boys Dormitories  occupied by  senior one and two students at the same school

According to Reverend Fr.Felix Bikwasizehi the parish priest of Rubindi Catholic Parish      the fire started at around 10:00PM on Monday night  and gutted a girl’s dormitory that housed 200 girl’s.

He adds that by the time of this incident all the students were in classes attending  night preps and  no student was hurt by the fire.

Andrew Agume  the Officer in charge of Rubindi Police station and  Meachel Bayo the Headteacher St.Andrews Rubindi Secondary School   yet to comment  about the incident.

This becomes the fifth fire outbreak in Rwizi Region in a period of two months the first being the fire that gutted boys Dormitories at Mbarara Secondary School in Nyamityobora ward ,Mbarara city , Mbarara View High School in Katete Mbarara city where fire gutted a building that houses the Headteacher’s Office and the staff room ,and  Rushanje Girls secondary school in Rweibogo cell , Rweibogo ward in Bugamba Subcounty’ Rwampara District where fire gutted the girls dormitory and  the twice fire incident at St .Andrews Secondary School in Rubindi Ruhumba Town council, Mbarara District.
