FIVE MASINDI PARENTS REMANDED FOR THREE WEEKS

Masindi grade 1 magistrate, Catherine Kuluo, has remanded the five parents who allegedly broke into the Head teacher’s office of Byerima primary school for three weeks to Masindi government prison.
Kuluo remanded the five suspects on Wednesday evening until 4th may 2017 after reading to them charges.
The remanded include Kasigwa Amuli, Musinguzi Godfrey, Kunihira Harriet, Musingizi Sam and Rubale Dolika both residents of Byerima village in Bwijanga sub county in Masind district.
On Tuesday this week, Police arrested six parents from Byerima village after KiizaHosea the Head teacher Byerima primary school reported a case accusing them of tress passing at his office. However police released Kugonza Juliet after it found her innocent after carrying out their investigations.
On 3rd October 2016 it is alleged that parents of Byerima primary school stormed the school and broke into the Head teacher’s office which led to the loss 2.5 million shillings which the Head teacher says was in his bag.
Parents stormed the school demanding for the accountability of 2 million shillings they had collected to construct a pit latrine which resulted into all these controversies.
Kiiza dragged the parents to court accusing them of tarnishing his name and tress passing at his office.
