FOOT BALL PLAYER COLLAPSES DEAD IN IGARA EAST KANANURA CUP

Fear gripped spectators in Rwemiyonga play ground in Kyeizooba, Bushenyi district on Saturday when Willis Bagoha collapsed and died instantly during Kananura Cup matches.

The ongoing matches in Igara East are sponsored by Benard Kananura who is among the aspirants for Igara East parliamentary seat.
When Willis Bagoha died, the foot ball match ended prematurely as the body was taken to hospital for postmortem.
The deceased was today laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kakamba village, Kyeizooba Sub-county in Bushenyi district.
Bagoha who died at the age of 34 was survived by a widow and four orphans.
The deceased’s father; Bagooha said out of his 14 children only four are alive.
Kananura facilitated the funeral arrangement and pledged his continued cooperation with the deceased’s family.
Competition for Igara east parliamentary seat has attracted six people, namely Micheal Mawanda(Independent), Andrew Martial(NRM),Christine Bekunika (FDC),Armstrong(Independent) and Benard Kananura(Independent).
Nomination for the candidates is scheduled for 22nd and 23rd November 2017 whereas polling day is set for Dec.14,2017.
The Igara East parliamentary seat fell vacant on Oct.3, 2017 when the court of Appeal nullified Andrew Martial’ election on grounds that his election was characterized by malpractices.
