FORMER DEPUTY MAYOR JOEL NKORE: NO ONE FORCED ME TO RESIGN, I DID IT WILLINGLY

The former Deputy Mayor Bushenyi Ishaka Municipal Council Mr. Joel Nkore has revealed to www.mknewslink.com managing editor that he resigned willingly without any pressure exerted on him by the councilors who censored him illegally.

“I resigned without any pressure from any one either councilors or my supervisor/mayor Mr. Richard Byaruhanga. I did it for the peace of Bushenyi Ishaka Municipal council which I found and I must leave” Mr. Joel Nkore asserted.

Mr. Joel Nkore resigned today 21st March 2023 before the dully constituted municipal council and was immediately replaced by a former municipal speaker and a very senior person in local governance management Mr. Milton Kasibure.

As normally a saying goes, a strong bull in a kraal does not varnish alone. The secretary for social services Madam Adrine was fired and the Mayor tempted to replace her with Mrs Bategyerize but she turned down the offer because of health conditions and the Mayor kept the seat for himself.

Three months ago Bushenyi Ishaka Municipal council illegally censored the Deputy Mayor and the Mayor refused to remove him. Since then the council has been full of turmoil.

“Due to the fact that I was elected by the people of Mazinga Ward in Nyakabirizi division and I can still ably serve them when am not deputy Mayor” Mr. Joel Nkore revealed.
