FORMER MBARARA CITY TOWN CLERK, TIBIHIIKA DIES IN ACCIDENT

The Mbarara city leaders have eulogized the late Theophilus Tibihika describing him as a brilliant civil servant and a pillar of Mbarara’s development.
Tibihika, a former Town Clerk of Mbarara City, sadly passed away this morning in a traffic accident in Akalo, Kole District, along the Lira-Apac road, when his vehicle, registered as UAM 450W, veered off the road.
Priscah Murongo Muganzi the deputy mayor Mbarara city acknowledged the deceased’s commitment to combating corruption, hailing him as a true patriot who always upheld his principles.
Robert Mugabe kakyebezi the mayor Mbarara city emphasized Tibihika’s pivotal role in the town’s advancement and lauding his unwavering focus on his duties.
Kakyebezi revealed that Tibihika’s passing came at a pivotal moment in his career, as he had recently been selected to serve as the University Secretary of Mbarara University of Science and Technology, a position he was set to assume on June 1st.
Jomo Mugabi, the division mayor of Mbarara city South, commended late Tibihika for his unwavering stance against corruption, recognizing his role in halting the fraudulent multiplex road contract, which ultimately led to his transfer to Fort Portal City.
Tibihika’s extensive career spanned various local governments, including stints in Mbarara city, Fort Portal, Kasese, and Lira city, where he held the position of City Clerk until his tragic demise. As the community mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant, Tibihika’s legacy of integrity and service will continue to inspire future generations.
