FORMER MP RUKIGA ATTACKS SUPPORTERS OF 2017 CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

Former Rukiga County legislator Jack Crissy Sabiiti has come to castigate all leaders who supported the 2017 constitutional amendment that scrapped the age limit from the constitution , saying these were just fronting their own selfish desires.
Hon. Jack sabiiti who was part of the constituency Assembly that the 1995 constitution of the republic of Uganda, said they had reasons as to why they included both the lower and upper age limit caps but was sad that these, as well as the term limits have all been scrapped.
He added that currently, Uganda has lost direction because of selfish desires and interests of a few individuals.
He said these when he was on Friday speaking at a luncheon organized by kigezi development forum, to celebrate the selfless service of former legislator of kinkizi east, hon. Dr Stanley George Kinyata, also member of the constituent assembly, a function held at savanna resort hotel in kihihi town, kanungu district Hon Jack sabiiti nether spared the religious leaders who he urged to always be considerate of the candidates they support politically saying they should not only look at religion but capability of these leaders.
He said religious divisions have today led to cropping up of incompetent leaders, giving an example of the quality of the current parliament.
