Two Fort Portal journalists have won themselves a fully paid up trip to Dubai courtesy of Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the bottler of Pepsi through their brand campaign dubbed “Tukonecitinge”, a Luganda word meaning to Connect.
The lucky winners are Ainganiza Stephen Waddell Araali Voice of Tooro FM and Sylvia Kugonza working with Jubilee fm and Uganda Radio Network (URN).
The winners succeeded after drinking Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Mirinda during the Pepsi Tugonectinge Media launch in Fort Portal held at Tooro Club on Saturday and sent the numbers in crowns to 7888 in a message.
Announcing the winners Mr. Emmanuel Atweta the Trade Marketing Manager, Crown Beverages revealed that the Ushs 4 billion new campaign seeks to promote and strengthen relationships among Pepsi consumers, their families, peers and friends, as they commemorate the Easter Holidays, Ramadhan, and Martyrs Day.
Atweta explained that through the campaign, Pepsi will reward its consumers with a total of 24 fully-paid trips to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, 25 Toyota Wish new brand vehicles, 24 Home Fridges as well as instant mobile money cash and airtime in different denominations, among other prizes.
Stephen Ainganiza while receiving Visa Awards described his success as a benediction from God, thanking Crown Beverages Limited for being genuine in their campaign saying he was extremely excited because it will be his first time to fly outside the country.
Sylvia Kugonza said that she was not expecting it adding that she was excited to connect with her mentor.
To participate in the promotion, a consumer will buy two (2) glasses bottles of either Pepsi, Mirinda or Mountain Dew and will check under the crown of the bottles and SMS the two codes and the chosen partner of choice will also sms the same codes to 7888.
