FORT PORTAL MUNICIPALITY, OWC SIGN MOU

Fort portal municipality and operation wealth creation -OWC on Tuesday signed a six priority development plan memorandum of understanding for the vision of modern model tourism city 2019-2020.
This was during the council meeting led by the speaker Gilbert Kayondo that was held at Muchwa chambers where the mayor Rev. wily Kintu Muhanga, town clerk Deo Ndimo met with Salim Saleh the national coordinator operation wealth creation.
According to Mayor, the five priorities include development of tourism infrastructure , Saka Airstrip, expansion of Kitere garbage management composite ,sports and skills
development ,revival of cooperatives and Agro processing and cottage industries.
Immediately after signing the MOU, Gen. Saleh disclosed that OWC has already started its work of developing fort portal municipality by deploying all its liaisons officers from different departments in the field.
Enok Byakagaba representing Barza ward south division commended the unity between Fort portal municipality and OWC and urged for the implementation of the six development plans.
