Drama ensued yesterday afternoon when Christians of the Seventh day Adventist western Uganda field beat up their bishop and other top leaders.
The Christians who were angry and rowdy stormed the office at Moldina Street asking the leaders including their bishop Samuel Mwebembezi to move out of office over several allegations.
According to the angry Christians, they wanted to close the office and take keys to police, thats where the scuffle erupted and started beating each other.
Christians who preferred anonymity told www.mknewslink.com that the bishop and other top leaders mismanage funds, are immoral and disrespect Christians.
They revealed that they have complained about their grievances for the last 3 years but all fall on deaf ears.
Christians have disclosed that the church has several projects whereby about 15M shillings have been mismanaged
They explained that they have been given some accountability but they are not satisfied and when they ask for forensic audit, they are only despised which has forced them to act.
Our reporter tried to get a comment from the bishop and the accused leaders but all in vain.
Meanwhile by press time police had not yet made an official statement though six arrests have been made and the suspects are held at Fort portal police
