Hon. Sylvia Rwabwogo the Fort Portal city woman MP has rejected her Covid 19 positive results and continued with campaigns which medics say may surge the infections.
Last week medical reports indicated that two Fort Portal city Members of parliament Hon. Alex Ruhunda and Sylivia Rwabwogo were Covid 19 positive
Rwabwogo’s radio campaign program at 101 Voice of Toro was last week cut short and the radio switched off because she had refused to move out of the studio.
Rwabwogo has been seen on several occasions mixing with the public even after the results showed she is Covid 19 positive.
Speaking during a campaign Rally in Kyabukonkoni central division last evening, Hon. Sylvia Rwabwogo blasted at those who say that she is Covid 19 positive noting that it was used to fail her to meet the president and one of tactics plotted to fail her campaign trail.
Kisembo Brian, the Fort portal city Covid 19 focal person condemned leaders who have tested covid 19 positive but refused to isolate themselves from the public, noting that they should expose their negative results but not hoodwinking the public by mere words.
Festus Bandeeba, Fort Portal deputy resident city commissioner who deputizes the city Covid 19 task force chairperson says that they have got intelligence that leaders who refute results are on medication but don’t want to isolate themselves, adding that they are in direct engagement with them to make them understand the magnitude of the problem.
