FOUR ARRESTED OVER MURDER IN IBANDA

In Ibanda—

Police in Ibanda are holding four suspects in connection to the death of a man.

It is alleged that on the 1^st November ,2021 at around 18:00/c unknown assailants attacked and strangled to death Furigensio  Kuhurubuka 87 years a resident of Kayenje cell ,Kayenje ward, Bufunda Division Ibanda municipality.

It is said that the assailants took off with unspecified amount of money that he had received from his tenants after hiring out his land.

ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi police mouthpiece told journalists in a press statement that the scene of the crime was cordoned and examined by crime officer’s with the Homicide team.

The body of the deceased was recovered with blood oozing through the mouth with signs of strangulation around the neck.

The body of the deceased was later taken to Ruhoko Health Centre IV pending postmortem report.
