FOUR PEOPLE PERISH IN RUBIRIZI ACCIDENT

Four people yesterday perished in a road accident in Rubirizi district along Kasese-Ishaka Highway.

The accident happened on Sunday 05^th January 2020 at Rugazi and Kamokya towns and it involved Wish UBE 334N which was travelling from Kasese to Ishaka.

It is alleged that the car was over speeding and lost control, ramming into Pedestrians at Lugazi and later into others at Kamokya as the driver tried to run away.

The deceased were identified as Sam, a son to Gordy of Kihumuro, Rubirizi town council, Dr.Masika who was travelling with her 13 year old girl, a senior one student on a boda boda and another one only identified as Kasatoro.

The driver of the vehicle known as Sunday Bob from Katerera Sub County who also sustained severe injuries was still admitted at Kampala International Hospital, Ishaka by press time.

The greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime, confirmed the incidence.

SP Tumusiime said that the Rubirizi police visited the scene, impounded the vehicle as inquiries go on.
