LOCAL SPORT: FUFA DRUM Quarterfinals
Following action on match Day 6 on Sunday that also brought an end to the group stage fixtures, the FUFA Drum is now headed to the Quarterfinals.
7 out of 8 teams are already in the first knock stage of the Competition to be played on the home and away basis set for 30th June and 1st July for the 1st leg while 7th and 8th reserved for the return leg outings.
However on Sunday, the inaugural tournament recorded an interrupted match between Teso Province and Bugisu Province in Katakwi as fans walked on to the pitch in the 75th minute with the score still 0-0.
The FUFA Drum Committee and FUFA Competitions Committee will pronounce itself based on reports from the match officials which will be presented to the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel headed by Deo Mutabazi.
The teams in the Quarterfinals so far are: Kampala, Bukedi, Busoga, West Nile, Ankole, Acholi and Buganda

One Hundred Million Shillings (100M) has been staked by FUFA in cash Prizes for the tournament Selected games of the Match Day 5 and 6 were sponsored by Uganda Tourism Board to a tune of 75M Shillings.
