GERMANS DONATE EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT TO ISHAKA ADVENTIST HOSPITAL

Ishaka Adventist hospital in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality in
cooperation with health for Uganda/Africa e.v on Friday, 24 commissioned an emergency response project in a bid to reduce the rampant mortality by injury and medical emergencies in greater Bushenyi.
The 24-hour hub commissioned by Laura Butler, the German representative and the chairperson emergency department in Uganda, is supported in improvement from health for Uganda/Africa e.v with funds from German government for the next two years.
It features an emergency department, skills centre, Ambulance car and a maternity ward.
Laura said for critical cases, a transfer to a referral hospital will
be well organized and announced on time with clear communication between other hospitals and Ishaka Adventist hospital in Bushenyi district.
She added that they will donate microphones for every ward in the hospital in the next two weeks and laid a stone on the foundation block.
Speaking at the same function held at the hospital premises, Dr. Eliab Tayebwa, the Bushenyi district health officer lauded the hospital and its partners for launching the centre.
The 24-hour hub of emergency department in Uganda was first launched in Mityana district in 2013.
