GOVT OF UGANDA TO TALK WITH DRC OVER M23 PEACEFUL RETURN—CDF MUHOOZI

Government of Uganda is set to discuss with the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo to sort out how best the former M23 combatants can return to their country.
This was revealed by the Chief of Defense Forces Gen. David Muhoozi while speaking to journalists where he said that these M23 fighters are neither refugees nor prisoners therefore there must be way on how they can return to their country.
Gen. Muhoozi says that they cannot keep staying here as Uganda cannot be used as a base for any rebel group to destabilize any of the neighboring country.
He says that some have tried to escape from Bihanga Army barracks but some were intercepted therefore the way how they should go back peacefully but not through violence.
Some M23 fighters have been living in Bihanga army barracks since they lost to the government of Democratic Republic of Congo.
