GREATER BUSHENYI JOURNALISTS CELEBRATE BELATED WORLD PRESS FREEDOM DAY IN MITOOMA

Greater Bushenyi journalists under their umbrella association greater Bushenyi Media Association (MAG) celebrated their belated world press freedom day in Mitooma today 20th May 2023.

The celebrations began with sweeping and thoroughly cleaning Mitooma town council together with their chairman/president Mr. Prosper Twebaze and the RDC Mitooma Mr. Amooti Kibuuka.

The journalists ended their cleaning at Mitooma health center IV where they visited the wards and they found good work being done in Maternity ward.

One of the mothers in Maternity ward said they are happy with the services being provided by the government and health workers and the drugs are even available.

The DHO Mitooma Dr. Sadic Byamugisha told www.mknewslink.com on phone that all health workers in all health centers in Mitooma district work during weekends unlike other some districts.

Dr. Sadic added that Mitooma health center IV has an in charge and he had just operated a pregnant mother and moved out however was he not in office.

After cleaning according to the chairman/president Mr. Prosper Twebaze journalists went for speeches and lunch at peak hotel Mitooma.
He added that they later went for a football match between greater Bushenyi journalists and Mitooma local government staff.
