HEAVY POLICE DEPLOYMENT IN BUSHENYI AS MP MAGYEZI VOTERS RIOT

Police is Bushenyi have today 21st Sept.2017 contained a protest organized by residents of Igara west constituency against their area MP; Raphael Magyezi who is now fronting age limit removal bill.
The angry protesters carrying placards chanting “Togikwatako” surrounded Hon.Magyezi’s office in Butare trading centre in Kyamuhunga town council Bushenyi district where police dispersed them.
The protesters were commanded by Kamadi Muramuzi; the FDC chairman for Igara west constituency who held a press conference while running in all streets of Butare town council.
He said the residents of Igara west don’t agree with what Raphael Magyezi on removing presidential age limit from the constitution.
Meanwhile police is alert at Magyezi’s office in Butare to curb any further protest that may emerge.
Police continued and deployed at Kampala International University (KIU) Western campus in Ishaka.
Greater Bushenyi regional police commander; Eddie Serunjoji told www.mknewslink.com editor that the heavy deployment at KIU and other areas in Bushenyi was a result of intelligence information that there could be danger.
