HEAVY RAINS IN NTUNGAMO LEAVE STUDENT DEAD

Heavy rains that have hit some parts of Rubaare Sub County in Rushenyi county Ntungamo district over the weekend washed away Nyanga-Ruyonza road left a senior four candidate dead.

The deceased was identified as Emmanuel Akatukunda aged 18years; a student at Global High school Omungyenyi.

According to the deceased’s parent; Fenikansi Babimanya;a resident of Katiba Omugyenyi-Rubaare the deceased was  brilliant in class but it was unfortunate to hear sad news that he was washed away by running water while trying to cross a Valley (Omurusa) to Ruyonza.

It is allegedly that the deceased Akatukunda hired the motorcycle on Saturday for the visitation after raining when he reached at Omurusa he forced himself to cross little knowing the pressure of the water and consequently he was s taken away with motorcycle.

The body of deceased was later seen by passersby after spotting the motorcycle in running water.

The director Global High school; Aggrey Byarugaba described te deceased as humble and clever student who was able to score first grade at UCE.
