HIGH NUMBER OF APPLICANTS ABOVE AGE TURN UP FOR POLICE RECRUITMENT IN GREATER BUSHENYI

The recruitment of police constables and leaner Inspector of police in greater Bushenyi which started last Monday with Mitooma district on Friday came to an end with Rubirizi district.

According to Martial Tumusime, the police spokesperson for greater Bushenyi, most of applicants failed because they were above the required age while others had no credits in the required science subjects.

Tumusime said that they received low turn up of applicants in the districts of Mitooma, Sheema, Bushenyi and Buhweju except in Rubirizi district where they received an overwhelming number of applicants with required qualifications but they only wanted 16 applicants.

He added that some applicants who were either above age or had failures in one subject amongst the required subjects were registered as reserves waiting for final analysis from the police headquarters.

Tumusime said that those who are on reserve list will be considered accordingly.

On the issue of ladies, he said that they experienced low turn up of ladies and those who showed up were above age.
