HOIMA FISHERMAN ROBBED ON GUN POINT

Police are still hunting for the six armed assailants who robbed a fisherman on lake Albert recently.

According to Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson, the unidentified assailants armed with three guns suspected to have come from the Democratic Republic of Congo attacked one Roy Okwaimungu on 17th of this month and took off with his boat engine, sets of fishing net, pressure lamp and fuel tank all values at 12 million shillings.

The robbery is said to have occurred between Mbegu and Kyehoro landing sites

Hakiza added that Okwaimungu later reported the incident to the police which immediately mounted the hunt for the robbers.

He however said the robbers are yet to be apprehended.
