HOIMA:
In order to beef up security within the city, leaders in Hoima City are requesting the government to provide them with more police patrol vehicles.
In an interview with this online news website, Brain Kaboyo, the Hoima City Mayor requested the government through the Office of Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabanja to lobby for Hoima city police patrol vehicles.
Kaboyo revealed that with the oil and gas activities there are many people flocking into the city with either good or bad intentions and yet the movements of security are limited due to the challenge of patrol vehicles.
‘’There is a need for the government to donate more patrol vehicles because many people are flocking into Hoima City with either good or bad intentions and yet the movements of security are limited due to the challenge of patrol vehicles,’’ he said.
The politician said if more efforts are to be injected into purchasing patrol vehicles for the city and road units will help beef up security in the oil city.
In her response, Hon. Robina Nabanja asked Hoima city authorities to write to her officially so that she can lobby for the purchase of the city patrol vehicles.
