HOIMA PASTOR REMANDED FOR FLOGGING CHRISTIANS

The self-proclaimed Prophet Denis Kintu of Empowerment Church in Hoima has been Thursday evening charged with 17 counts and remanded to Hoima Government Prison till 07th September 2022.
Kintu was arrested on Wednesday evening following a video that went viral on different social media platforms whipping his followers with a claimed ‘’holy cane’’.
The Grade One Magistrate, Elijah Iradukunda charged Kintu with 17 accounts of human trafficking, extortion, assault, promoting sectarianism and others.
The self-proclaimed prophet was also implicated in causing body harm which is contrary to Section 238 of the Penal Code Act.
Kintu will reappear before court on 07th September 2022 when his case comes up for mention again.
