HOIMA WOMAN DIES IN HOUSE FIRE

Police in Hoima District are investigating circumstances under which a 21-year-old lady was burnt into ashes in her grass thatched house.
The incident happened in wee hours of Sunday morning in Kibengeya village Kibengeyaparish Kapapi sub county Kigorobya County in Hoima District.
Charity Alinaitwe, a mother of two and a resident of the same area was torched while sleeping in her grass thatched house.
According to a resident who preferred anonymity, the deceased got misunderstanding with the former husband who is believed to be the father of his children while in a disco dance in Buraza village on Saturday night which later brought scuffle.
The scuffle came after the former husband blamed the ex-wife for being with another man.
It’s alleged that the deceased has been receiving death threats from the former husband thus suspecting him to be behind the incident.
The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Allan Hakiza confirmed the incident and said investigations have commenced.
By press time, the Kigorobya police was at the scene, and later handed the body to the relatives for burial arrangements.
