In Bushenyi.
Embattled Bushenyi district chairman has revealed that he is not worried about the censorship motion that is in offing.
A week ago Bushenyi district councilors started collecting signatures to censure Jafari Basajjabalaba because of three main issues.
According to sources the concillors are basing on the controversial issue of Kigurusi vs Kabushaho where a seed school worth 1.6 Billion Uganda shillings is to be built and the district has to choose one site that is Kigurusi or Kabushaho. Councilors also added that Jafari took sides and supported Kigurusi yet there is Kabushaho
The second issue that petitioners have raised is the conflict at Basajjabalaba Mosque where the statement uttered by Jafari at the burial of Sheikh Kadhuyu two months ago where he said that Bassajjabalaba Mosque be opened with immediate effect because people have a right to worship which angered his younger brother tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba.
The third raised issue against Jafari is supporting people that have shown interest in contesting in the upcoming elections thus getting involved in politics very early which councilors are not in support of.
In an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor in his office at Bushenyi district local government , Jafari said that he is implementing his council resolution which resolved that the 1.6 Billion Seed school be built at Kigurusi. He farther challenged concilors to go to council and change the decision to favour Kabushaho and he will be there to support them.
On the issue of Basajjabalaba Mosque Jafari said he is a moslem he cannot preside over a district where people are denied a right to worship.
