I CAN’T CONTINUE PRAYING IN SUCH LOW LEVEL CHURCH—MP MAWANDA

IGARA EAST newly elected Member of Parliament Hon. Micheal Mawanda Maranga has vowed to conclude the construction of Mwengura parish church of Uganda in Bushenyi district because its not up to standard compared to other parishes in West Ankole Diocese.
MP Mawanda who is the head of laity for Kyeizooba archdeaconry noted that his church where he prays from cant continue to appear bad.
He said this yesterday during Easter prayers at his church of Mwengura in Igara East. He gave one million shillings cash to help pay debts of diocese tithe. He also offered 2 million shillings to buy music system.
“I have built many churches in Igara East but mine cannot remain like this. Construction of a new one is at roofing level. This church is ranked last in the archdeconary and this is mine as head of laity. This can’t continue. Let us combine efforts and accomplish ours” Mawanda told a fully parked church
The parish priest for Mwengura church of Uganda Rev. Laban Bantungire hailed MP Mawanda for supporting his church and requested other sons from mwengura to support the project of building the church.
