In Masindi—
Masindi Army Secondary School best candidate who fell sick and collapsed immediately after briefing Dawa Kadara has scored 13 aggregates in 2020 UCE.
“I was rushed to Supreme Medical Centre in Masindi town for medication. I spent two days in hospital and was only picked on Monday for the first paper. I felt confused because I did not know whether I would pass,” Kadara narrated her experience.
The 17-year old last born of four hoped to get 8 in 8 had she not been disturbed by sickness.
“I was not able to revise and I had to depend on what I had learnt in class. I spent most of the time sleeping in the dormitory because I was weak. I thank my friends and teachers who kept on encouraging me,” she said.
Kadara’s mother Hawa Ali said she got worried when her daughter fell sick but she kept praying to God for her quickest healing.
Capt. James Alomu, the administrator at Masindi Army SS, said Kadara had been put on bursary scheme because of her hard work and good performance.
Masindi Army got 52 candidates in first grade, 57 in second, 61 in third, and 5 in fourth.
The overall best candidate in the district was Kabalega Secondary School’s Hosea Muganyizi with 10 aggregates followed by Mary Yar from St. Theresa Girls’ SS with 11.
