I LOST ELECTION BUT DON’T REGRET— FORMER MINISTER MARY KAROORO

The former minister of General duties in the office of the Prime Minister Mary Karooro Okurut has said that she does not regret losing the 2021 January elections.

She said this yesterday at a colorful function held at ECO- Muga village where her supporters were thanking her for exhibiting exemplary performance for 17 years she was an MP and minister.

The supporters gave her five Frisian cows and 12 goats plus other goodies.

In her speech she thanked the supporters for remembering her and pledged to remain close to them.

“I lost an election but am not regretting because I still have you my supporters by my side,”Karooro noted.

Former minister Karooro lost 2020 NRM primaries to Ms. Annet Mugisha Katusiime the incumbent Bushenyi district woman MP. She conceded to defeat and did not come back as independent.
