Kinkiizi East Member of Parliament Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has refuted claims that he was behind the impounding of iron sheets that he had donated to Kashayo church of Uganda in Rugyeyo Sub County in Kanungu District.

The iron sheets were impounded after the church leaders refused to use them and instead opted for those from tycoon Garuga which came later.

This created suspicious rumors that the church leaders had sold the iron sheets and shared the money amongst themselves.

Concerned Christians lodged a complaint at Police and the iron sheets were impounded until this weekend when they were returned.

According to the Uganda Police CID Spokesman Charles Twine, the impounded iron sheets had been subjected to investigations.

While responding to our reporter about the complaint ,Dr. Baryomunsi said he never complained to police and those making the claim should have inquired from police about the source of the complaint.

He said he has no problem with the iron sheets being returned to the Church since he had donated them to the Church to do God’s work.
