Former Daily Monitor journalist based in Ntungamo and Rukungiri districts Perez Rumanzi who is currently vying for the Ntungamo municipality seat has vowed not to shave his long hair until president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni leaves power.

Rumanzi said this while officiating the opening of FDC party offices on Tuesday 11th, November, 2020 in Ntungamo municipality.

Perez Rumanzi said he will do this in protest of the amendment of article 102(b) of the constitution which will favour Museveni to remain in power even when he clocks 75 years.

 Relatedly, Perez promised all Boda boda riders in Ntungamo municipality to use half of his parliamentary salary to buy two Motorcycles for each Boda boda stage as a way of developing them.

Ntungamo municipality seat is one of the hotly contested for seats with the incumbent Gerald Karuhanga of Alliance For National Transformation-ANT, Perez Rumanzi of the FDC and Yonah Musinguzi of NRM.
