IBANDA: 8 PEOPLE DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER SURVIVING LANDSLIDE INJURIES

eight people who have been hospitalized at Ibanda Mission hospital, Ebenezer and Better living clinics after they were hit by landslides on 25th Sept.2020 were yesterday discharged after getting better.
The landslides occurred in Kyaruhanga village, Kagongo division following a heavy downpour on Friday night.
The father of the children Cop. Shemu Arinaitwe Mafundo, a UPDF Marine soldier stationed at Buriisa Barracks, along Lake Albert has hailed the medical team and the residents of Kyaruhanga who worked hard to save the lives of his eight children while he was away on duty.
“The floods completely destroyed my residential house plus my property but am grateful to God for he protected the lives of my children and my family throughout the danger of floods,” Corporal Manyindo told the press yesterday.
According to the locals in the area four houses were completely demolished by the floods including that of www.mknewslink.com reporter Elly Karenzi ,Cop. Manyindo ,Robert Kakooza and Jameson Tumwine.
Investigations indicate that historically, Kyaruhanga village, has always been hit by landslides every after 10 years since 1980.
