IBANDA DISTRICT VICE CHAIRPERSON GOES MISSING FOR MONTH

Former Vice Chairperson Ibanda district and a lecturer at Ibanda University Amon Mwijukye has gone missing under unclear circumstances.
Donald Murigye his younger brother told www.mknewslink this morning that Mwijukye was last seen on 27th September 2018 in Kyarukoobwa cell in Ibanda municipality at the burial of his brother the late Apollo Mutaahi.
Murigye said that he doubts if his brother could be in a seminar somewhere noting that Mwijukye could not have left his home without informing his family and then switching off his phones.
The LC 5 Chairperson Ibanda district, Melchidius Kazwengye noted that Mwijukye always tells him in advance whenever he wants to go somewhere adding that this time he has no information regarding Mwijukyes whereabouts
The Resident District Commission Ibanda, Eliasto Akatuheebwa said that he has not received any information regarding the missing of Mwijukye. He added that as the head of security, he has not got any message that NRM could be conducting seminars.
Mwijukye contested in the last Mayoral race for Ibanda municipality on Independent ticket but lost to Apollo Twine Kibeherere of NRM.
