The assistant District Health Officer, Ibanda district, Ms. Christine Niwayesiga has asked the In charge of Ibanda Mission health center 3 to fight reluctancy and late coming on duty among the health workers.
She noted that expectant mothers and others with babies expect quick services but not to wait for many hours before they can get the services
Ms. Niwayesiga was addressing staff of Ibanda Mission health center 3 and Village Health Team members (VHTs) from Kyereeta and Katooma outreach during a one day meeting held at Ibanda mission health center 3 in Ibanda municipality on Wednesday.
“We believe that for the health sector to perform well the health staff and VHTs should do their work and their supervisor should monitor them closely,” Ms. Niwayesiga explained.
She also expressed concern over some mothers who fail to effectively complete the polio and immunization progammes for their children.
The Ibanda Mission health center 3 in charge Mr. Ezekiel Kakiiza thanked the VHTs for the services they have rendered to masses in many villages.
However, the health workers blamed the cold chain technical department headed by Mr.Keneth Wayetosi for failing to repair fridges in time where vaccines are stored.
