IBANDA MAN CONSTRUCTS OWN GRAVE

Hundreds of people from Kihani, Igorora town council and Keihangaara villages in Kikyenkye Sub County, Ibanda district are thronging to the home of Mzee Andereya Ahakukiriire aged 86 to witness a new grave which was constructed on orders of the latter.
Ahukukiriire says he constructed a 6ft by 3ft grave to ease work of the mourners.
The cemented grave which the old man has constructed few months ago attracted mixed reaction among residents some of whom are blaming the family for neglecting their responsibility to their father.
Mzee Ahakukiriire told www.mknewslink.com today that one of his sons one Gerald Mugume has on several times allegedly threatened him to grab his land using force.
He has appealed to LC officials, politicians and church leaders to act fast so that the land title which was acquired by his own son should be cancelled.
However,Mugume refutes the allegations that noting that he is still taking care of his father.
Ms. Imeld Tukamureeba, a resident of Kihani village told this reporter that Mzee Ahakukiriire has made history in the area and even in Ibanda district being the first person to construct his own grave.
