IBANDA MUNICIPAL MAYORAL ASPIRANTS SWARM MOSQUES

IN IBANDA—
As Muslims in Ibanda district joined the rest of the world to mark Eid al-Adha, many candidates who are contesting in Ibanda Municipality crowded mosques for prayers.
Eid al-Adha holiday is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice and It is one of the two Eid holidays observed by Muslims and the day in Ibanda Municipality began with prayers led by Ibanda Muslim district Kadhi
Sheik Yusuf Kalule Juma in his message asked the Muslim community to put much emphasis on house hold income activities.
Among the politicians who attended the prayers at Rugarama moslem mosque included Mr. Rwaburindoore Tarsis Bishanga former chief accountant in ministry of defense who contributed 100 bags of cement towards construction of headquarters and shs. One Million cash for soda for the celebrations .
The current Chief Administrative officer for Ntungamo district,Mr. John Betungura who is also aspiring contributed shs. 300.000, towards construction works,while the current Mayor of Ibanda
Municipality Deus Mulinde gave shs. One Million towards the construction.
The coordinator of civil aviation authority Mr. Igundura Ignatius contributed 170 versatile sheets worth shs.5.17Million.
