IBANDA NWSC TO INSTALL A NEW LABORATORY PLANT

The National Water and Sewarage Corporation, Ibanda is a head of its target to provide clean and safe water to its customers in various public water points across Ibanda Municipality council.
Ms. Cathryn Ilemukorit Mwereere, the manager Ibanda area, revealed that their target is to see that every home gets clean and safe water. She also noted that water supply to individual at household level currently stands at 3957 for community tap accounts.
She also noted that Ibanda district is among the best performing districts in the water and sewerage sector.
She said this during an exclusive interview with this reporter at National Water and Sewerage cooperation offices in Kitwe, Ibanda Municipality.
She also revealed that National Water &Sewerage Corporation is planning to install a laboratory plant at main water reservoir with effect from June this year to improve on the quality of services.
She however noted that NWSC in Ibanda is faced with challenges including vandalizing water equipment and delay in payments.
She also noted that some companies tend to tamper cheat meters thus tking them into loses.
