The Ibanda Resident District Commission, Eliasto Akatuheebwa warned the public to be aware of conmen who obtain millions of money from the youth who are seeking for jobs in government institutions
He told www.mknewslink.com that Warren Tuhame a Records Officer working with Igorora town council in Ibanda district administration and Bruce Muhangi, a sub county chief of Kiijongo have been pointed fingers that both obtained Ug shs 7.2 Million from different youth and promised them to get jobs.
Tuhame was arrested by police while Muhangi is on run as police are hunting for him.
Mr. Akatuheebwa disclosed that one of victims known as Julius Mucunguzi, a district councilor for the people with disabilities who is a blind man was coned Ug shs. 500,000 and promised a job at Rwenkoobwa town council as human Resource Officer.
He noted that after paying the money Tuhame and Muhangi told him that he was shortlisted and waited in vain.
However, Mucunguzi and other victims petitioned the RDC about the matter.
Akatuheebwa thus urged the youth to start up small scale businesses until the jobs are advertised in government papers so as to reduce high risks of being cheated and coned by people in high positions in the government
