IBANDA PASTOR DEFECTS TO ANGLICAN CHURCH

A senior pastor belonging to Uganda Christian out reach ministries in Uganda (Yesu Akwagala), has defected to another group of religious sect showing a lack of concern.
Pastor Joseph Gamuroorwa Tumukunde, yesterday threw the clergy house, Lay Readers and Christians of North West Ankole Diocese into excitement when he denounced openly that had decided to join the Church Of Uganda.
Over 20 priests, Christians and the Bishop Rev. Amos Magezi stood up and welcomed him with church songs including Tukutendereza.
Tumukunde who was holding a Bible, a Prayer Book and with a collar in his neck ,stood in the front of the parked church and announced his decision to join Anglican faith.
He told the Daily Monitor that completed his studies in theology at Suguuku Bible College a long Entebbe road in Kampala. He noted is willing to co operate with church leaders and Christians and follow the church of Uganda its canon bye laws.
During the colourful service, Rt. Rev. Amos Magezi launched a theme for all church leaders and preachers to follow for preaching the gospel in the diocese in 2018.
He urged them to build their strength in the union with the Lord and stand up against the devil’s tricks.
