Ibanda Police officer shoots one dead

Police in Ibanda district is holding their own on murder charges. The Ibanda district police commander SP Ochama Denis has identified the police officer as Corporal Albert Asea the OC Kyenkanga police post in Ibanda North .
DPC said that Corporal Albert had gone to arrest one Alex Byekwaso
Over charges of malicious damage at around 5AM of Saturday and in a scuffle, Biryomumaisho Godfrey 32 a resident of Ntutsi village was  shot dead.
Talking to the suspect, Corporal Albert said that he fired in self defense since the deceased had a panga and wanted  to end his life.
The DPC Ochama Denis said that this officer is detained in police cells and this case is registered with CRB 1228/2016 and once investigations are done, he will be produced to court.
