IGARA TEA FACTORY FIGHTS NOT YET OVER, BUHWEJU FARMERS DEMAND AUTONOMY

After along time of fights between Igara tea factory board members and farmers, on 8th/January/ 2019 the board sat which rejected the chairman board of Directors Gershom Rwakasanga and chose a new chairman Ms.Adrine Odomaro.
The Chairman Buhweju Mr. Juvenali Asiimwe at the end of the annual general meeting revealed that Buhweju needs nothing else apart from spliting from Igara growers tea factory when a child grows and marries you give him land.
Igara tea factory owns Buhweju tea factory as one of its companies and according to the general manager Onesmus Matsiko the split can take place once handled carefully.
Immediate retired chairman Gershom Rwakasanga and Daniel Nareeba of Buhweju former board members have always agitated for the autonomy of Buhweju from Igara but they left office without achieving it.
The president of the republic of uganda his excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni deployed Bushenyi district Chief Administrative officer Elias Byamungu to make sure that the transition from one board to another is done peacefully.
Rwakasanga , Batuna Edson, Daniel Nareeba and Muhangisa Eldard had refused to retire from the board as the aricles and constitution of Igara tea factory say but they were forced to leave by CAO, RDC Jolly Tibemanya with help from area member of parliament Igara West Raphael Magezi.
