INDIA PRIME MINISTER MODI TO ADDRESS UGANDAN PARLIAMENT

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi will next week address Parliament when he visits Uganda.
The announcement was made by Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah on Tuesday while chairing the afternoon session.
Oulanyah said Modi will address Parliament at 10 a.m, on July 25. The Deputy Speaker said President Yoweri Museveni will accompany Modi.
He implored lawmakers to turn up early enough ahead of Modi’s arrival.
The Deputy Speaker also said on July 23, security will take over the Parliamentary Premises and urged MPs and Parliament staff to remove their vehicles by then adding that “on Tuesday, a day before the address, no vehicle will be allowed at Parliament.”
The Speaker also announced that the House will not sit on Tuesday to allow the Clerk and security personnel carry out their work ahead of the Wednesday sitting.
Modi is slated to visit Uganda on July 24, accompanied by a big business delegation. He will hold bilateral talks with President Museveni and also officially open the convention Center in Entebbe.
Modi is the 14th Prime Minister of India. He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014, and is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from School of Open Learning at University of Delhi and a Master of Arts degree in political science from Gujarat University, among other qualifications.
