ISHAKA DIVISION TAX WARS: NEW PARADISE GUEST HOUSE RICH YOUNG MAN IN RUNNING BATTLES WITH ABOVE AUTHORITIES.

The proprietor of new paradise guest house in katungu cell Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality spent better part of today morning 24/01/2023 quarrelling with Ishaka division authorities for removing two sign posts from the main road and at the guest house illegally.
Mr. Dan Nimwesiga told www.mknewslink.com today evening 24/01/2023 that the tenderer of Ishaka division only identified as Zibail forcefully removed the two sign posts of the guest house illegally.
Mr. Nimwesiga adds that according to the law that governs urban authorities, when a business has not paid local tax, the owner is notified in writing and if he/she fails to comply is taken to court but not forcefully taking his/her property.
In this regard the complainant urges that the tenderer and Ishaka authorities errored and therefore he will take them on in courts of law if they don’t return the sign posts tomorrow and fix them where they were.
When www.mknewslink.com managing editor contacted the town clerk Ishaka division Ms Prima Kushemererwa, she called upon the complainant to go to the division again for peace talks.
This January 2023 municipalities, town councils, and cities are collecting local taxes like trading license, local service tax, hotel tax among others.
Due to economic hardships that Uganda is facing and the world, traders are not responding on time to pay taxes because they don’t have the money.
