The bishop of West Ankole diocese Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni has refuted allegations that he has never visited ailing Katungu mission hospital as alleged by a section of Christians.
In an telephone exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor today morning 1st July 2020 ,the bishop noted that he has held several meetings at the hospital and he has big plans for the facility.
According to sources, the health facility is really in a poor state that it cannot even treat malaria patient.
Christians accuse Bishop Johnson of prioritizing his personal diocesan house at the expense of the health facility.
The bishop noted that the diocesan council passed a resolution that the diocese should not handle any other project until it has finished the Katungu mission project.
Bishop Johnson told www.mknewslink.com that had it not been for COVID 19, the construction of Katungu mission hospital would have started earlier.
Katungu Mission hospital was formerly occupied by Bushenyi Medical Centre which was evicted by Bishop Katonene to create the current diocesan Katungu mission Hospital.
Bishop Johnson was consecrated on 28th May 2017 and he has since then built a luxurious diocesan bishop’s house worth 2 billion, tried to revamp Ankole western University and strengthened Jubilee SACCO by Christians buying huge shares.
