Bushenyi district headteachers have revealed that they are not ready to re-open schools for candidates, and finalists as directed by president Museveni.
Headteachers had today converged for a meeting organised at Bushenyi Multipurpose hall to take them through the guidelines as they prepare to reopen on 15th of October 2020.
Headteachers expressed their worries that reopening schools amidst the rising COVID19 pandemic is too risky to the public mostly children who will be going to school for their final year.
Most of them urged that it would be better tif they were given more time before opening up the schools and institutions
They noted that reopening schools would be fair if they had enough funds to facilitate SOPs adding that capitation grant sent to schools is not enough.
Headteachers said that they will open schools on 15th October 2020 only because its the government directive but its not the right time for reopening schools.
All Schools and other learning institutions were in March directed by president Museveni to close after the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic in the country.
