As www.mknewslink.com is looking forward to celebrating her 6 years of service, the Mk.newslink managing director mr.Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante and staff are in early preparations so as to make the day wonderful and colorful.

According to the managing director mknewslink.com, the function will be held on 20th, September 2019 at Tuzza hotel in Bushenyi town and that will be a Friday.

Muhwezi confirmed today 15th sept, 2019 in an interview that over 200 guests have been invited at the function including the chief guest Dr.Elioda Tumwesigye, the minister of innovations, science and technologye, Eng. Dr. Silver Mugisha who is also the managing director National Water And Sewage Cooperation (NWSC).

He added that other invited guests include; the Bishop for West Ankole Diocese Right Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni and other civilian generals from Make Bushenyi Great Again (MBUGA), Jafari Basajabalaba, Bushenyi District Chairman, RDC Bushenyi, His Lordship Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality Jackson Kamugasha among others.

“Most importantly, the then group manager for Igara Tea Growers Factory Mr. Robert Ejuku who gave mknewslink a one year contract advert when it had started barely 3 months (that was 1st November 2013), will be specially awarded at the 6th birth day of the company. He will be awarded by the Chief Guest of Honour Hon. Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye, the minister for technology and inovatons” Mr. Wilber the managing director added.

www.mknewslink.com website was born on 20th September, 2013, designed and hosted by Hostalite Uganda Limited.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hostalite Mr. David Mushabe instructed Ronald Kirya as one of his stuff to design and make sure it comes out with a good product like it is.

The CEO offered training skills on how to post an article, advert, and photoes. After learning all those, mknewslink.com Managing Director Mr. Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante decided to shift his tentacles from Kampala to Bushenyi-Ishaka in order to oversee the regions formally, Tooro, Bunyoro, Rwenzori , Kigezi, Ankole and entire Western Uganda.

He further headquartered the company in Bushenyi town. He started receiving stories from journalists who are well wishers whom he had worked with at the New vision, Daily Monitor and Observer for 12 years.

Further more in 2015 on the 2nd birthday, mknewslink.com was launched by the then Minister for Health Hon. Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye at Crane Resort Hotel in Ishaka and from then mknewslink became a fully fledged online news paper, recruited editors and reporters and continued to serve 55 radio stations located in greater Western Uganda.

The company has a functional office and 12 stuff members including 4 who are based at the head quarters of the company.

The company started with 100readers a day and 80% of them were from UK, Germany, China and USA.

Mknewslink.com has now has between 4,000-5,000 readers a day and 120,000 readers a month.

The management also wishes to extend more thanks to advertisers whom they started with including; Universities, SACCOs, Hotels and Ruparelia group of companies for their fertile partnerships.
