JOY! ONE WEEK OLD BABY STOLEN FROM MBARARA HOSPITAL RECOVERED

Police in Mbarara city have today recovered a baby that went missing from Mbarara regional referral hospital maternity ward last week.
A one week baby girl was stolen from her mother identified as Jean Asingwire at the Hospital last week.
Asingwire delivered the child by caesarean section at Kinoni Health Centre IV in Rwampara District on September 9, 2022 but was referred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital after her uterus raptured.
The hospital’s Communications Officer Halison Kagure told www.mknewslink.com that the baby was stolen after Asingwire and her caretaker established a relationship with a stranger while in the maternity ward.
Now, addressing the journalists today at the hospital, Halson Kagure the hospital public relations officer said the baby was found in Rwariire Cell in Nyakayojo Mbarara city south.
Kagure added the baby was found dumped in a compound of a certain family in the area.
He noted that hospital team led by the Public Relations Officer swung into action and picked the baby whom they handed to her mother.
