JUSTICE BYABAKAMA BREAKS SILENCE ON CONCLUDED BY-ELECTIONS

Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, the Electoral Commission Chairperson has asked the opposition to seek justice in court if they are not satisfied with the results of the just concluded by-elections in the country.
In an exclusive interview with this online publication Saturday afternoon, Byabakama said that the Electoral Commission is an independent body and if the opposition are not satisfied with the results they should seek justice in courts of law.
Byabakama was responding to the opposition leaders who recently disclosed that they can no longer trust the Ugandan Electoral Commission.
‘’Electoral Commission is an independent body, if they are not satisfied with the results let them seek justice in courts of law,’’ he responded.
Justice Byabakama tipped the electorates and political candidates to always follow the electoral road map since its public. ‘’They should always cooperate with the security mostly during the electoral process,’’ he said.
