KABAGARAME INTERNATIONAL PORK MARKET CLOSED

The well known international pork market Kabagarame has been closed until further notice due to the fastest spreading animal disease, foot and mouth.
In an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com, the Bushenyi Ishaka municipal husbandry officer Moses Bugyendo, noted that the most loved market was closed as well as all selling points in the municipality and other most Ankole districts.
The dangerous foot and mouth disease started in Kiruhura and kozo district a month and kept spreading and most the districts in the sub-regions of greater western Uganda are affected.
Mr. Bugyendo added that even road side roasters of meat have been stopped with immediate effect as well.
The disease has struck at the time when parents are taking their children to schools mainly senior ones and fives.
